Standard medical equipment:

Pulse oximetry — monitors the oxygen level in the bloodstream

External and temporary pacemaker — provides a regular heart rhythm and rate when the heart is unable to do so on its own

IV pumps — used to deliver fluids and medications to the patient

Cardiac monitor/defibrillator — electrocardiogram that allows the medical crew to evaluate a patient’s heart rate and rhythm

Invasive monitoring capability — monitors critical physiological functions by means of a sophisticated arterial IV line
